Marriage

1. Marriage Instituted by GOD: Genesis 1:27; 2:18-24; 3:6 --BEFORE Law of Moses or Law of Christ.

2. God officates or "marries": Matthew 19:4-6 --If God does not 'marry' two, they are NOT married in His eyes: (see above)

3. When God will release one from marriage: -- Death Romans 7 -- Adultery Matthew 5; 19 ONLY for spouse innocent of adultery.

4. If God has 'joined together' and NOT released, 'remarriage' is not lawful in His eyes: --(see above)

5. IF couple separates WITHOUT adultery, only 2 options: 1 Corinthians 7 --Remain celebate --Return to spouse to which God has 'joined together'

6. Person in unlawful/unscriptural divorce CAN be forgiven and go to heaven: --IF possible, return lawful spouse. 1 Corinthians 7 --Stay celebate "

7. Baptism (obeying the gospel) does NOT REMOVE the past marriage/divorce in God's eyes: --Marriage isn't just for Christians. God 'joins' believers and unbelievers 1 Cor. 7 --Therefore, God's law of marriage applies before AND after conversion IF a marriage is unlawful, and the spouses are living in adultery, obeying the gospel does NOT make that sin now lawful.
